What is your thoughts on the BCS?

I might be in minority but I like the BCS. Only thing I would change is lessen the percentage the human polls input into. 

OK. I feel #1 should play #2, #3 & #4....... Why the Lock in's? Also, if ya don't win your Confernce, that should automatically drop you out of it. Now let's look at the Projection.

#1 & #2 OK With the real #2 being bumped for not being a Champ.

#5 & #23   ???   #3 is OK st. & #4 is Stanford

#9 & #15   ???    #5 is VT  & # 6 is Houston.

How is that an attempt to get the top 6 teams???

To me as of now, the 2 un-defeateds should play. LSU(#1 SEC champ) vs Houston(#6 Conf USA champ)(if they keep it). Tech. AL. is the 3 seed in Conf.(arguably the 2 seed), but no even going to SEC ship game makes them a 3 seed at best.

Then(#3-#4) OK. St.(#4 Big 12 champ) vs Ore.(#9 PAC 12 champ) (Stanford is Ranked higher, but falls to same fate as AL.)

(#5-#6) should be VT(#5 ACC champ) vs Boise(#7 MWC champ)(which is a #7-#9 seed but moves up because of AL & Stanford drops).

Ore and VT could be switched if No Conf Lock in's...

All these teams are Top 10 and Conf. Champs.....

Alright I see your points. BUT disagree. Of course. Let me first say goal of BCS is and has always been to have top 2 teams play ONLY. this was not a playoff system, just a way that the bowls could keep their cash cows but remove some bias since more teams were finishing with great records. More and more multiple undefeated teams and one loss teams left fans feeling cheated by bias AP media in love with the team they always loved. Point number two. Not winning your conference is to black and white to me when you are talking about best teams in the nation. Things change during a season, people get hurt , players emerge. All these factors change the best teams week to week. You lose to one team by three points in overtime??? That keeps you out of conference title and that team is number 1??? How does that exclude your team??? Still arguably one of the best teams in football. You also could have lost to a team early and then you get better and they get worse. Clemson??? UCLA??? So I don't like the blanket exclusion. You are ranking teams for a reason. Conference winners or not. Best team to worst team. Then I think the bowls mostly create a fun and memorable experience for kids playing a game. The tradition and pagentry are synonymous with college football. Of course you are talking to a BIG10 fan where every game has a trophy to be won for the year!!!! I do believe that conference exclusions are hurting at this point. But the schools that are excelling are starting to realize this handicap and move. Call it changing classes. Beat the teams in your non-BCS automatic bid conference like a drum year after year??? Move to the bigger conferences and match up and get your shot. Lastly I don't like the playoff. Why??? Purely personal here. I like the grind it out,rank it out, argue about it, way of college. I think it produces the best teams year after year. Does pro get it right??? I don't think so. To many non competitive first round match ups that leave teams vulnerable to looking past a team and they get beat. Exciting??? I guess. But also end up with teams in next round getting drilled. March madness is fun but they start with many teams and are going to add more. Because Cinderella doesn't always come to the ball. Let them have that. Let college keep what it has. 

I heard the best explanation last night.

It wasn't just how you played at your best, but how you played at your worst. Edge given to Alabama. Their 1 loss was to the #1 team and Ok. St.'s wasn't. They lost a game they should've easliy won.

This I can buy. And yes, the 2 top teams will play each other.

But I still have a problem with 6-6 teams getting Bowls!!!

Anybody want ta pick Bowls, loser buys a round(or a public picture in a Haters jersey. Mine UCLA or ND!)??? Or maybe just the BCS games?

I like that explanation. Still was very close. I really felt that the voters would give many votes to OK St so they would rise to two with the computers liking the big 12 conference. Glad it did not work out that way. I heard Gundy say you have to vote for a 9-6 or a 39-36 score. My point to that would be how does he expect to get 36!?!?!?! Also who played in those orange and white jerseys against VT??? That must have been one heck of a team meeting. Need another one before the bowl game. I think it would be fun to pick bowls. They are very hard to pick because you never know the attitude of a team until they hit the field. Love this time of year!!! These last months of season, thanksgiving, Christmas, and lots of football!!!
