This is what the playoff picture will look like if everyone will do what i think they will do this coming weekend!

National League North- Dacula, Peachtree Ridge.

National League South- Dacula

National League East- Buford, Collins Hill, North Gwinnett, Peachtree Ridge.

American League North- Loganville, Grayson

American League South- Lawrenceville, Parkview, Shiloh

American League East- Shiloh, South, Grayson, Lawrenceville

As you can see, this is the 16 teams required to be in. Some of the teams are pending a win this coming weekend. So this is just a prediction! Your thoughts please?

I'll bite ... using predictions for this weekend's matchups based on the computer rankings (in other words, nothing more than an educated guess), the playoff picture should end up looking something like this:

1   Loganville AN Todd Wolaver (7-1-0)
2   Lawrenceville AS Mac McGinnis (7-1-0)
3   Shiloh AE Kevin Hunter (8-0-0)
4   Dacula NN Chuck Layson (8-0-0)
5   Dacula NS Kenny Perlotte (8-0-0)
7   Buford NE Ken Burge (7-1-0)
8   South Gwinnett AE Demetrius Dower (7-1-0)
11 Grayson AN Andre Young (6-2-0)
12 Peachtree Ridge NN Steve Dawson (6-2-0)
6   Collins Hill NE Paul Randall (5-3-0)
9   North Gwinnett NE George Hearn (5-3-0)
14 Grayson AE Chris Chandler (5-3-0)
15 Shiloh AS John Brooks (5-3-0)
16 Lilburn AN Onza McGhee (5-3-0)
17 Peachtree Ridge NE Michael Pate (5-3-0)
20 Parkview AS Duwinn Simmons (5-3-0)
10 Mill Creek NE Dave Schwefler (4-4-0)
13 Mill Creek NS Larry Savoie (4-4-0)
19 Brookwood AS Kenny Bauchcum (4-4-0)
21 Buford NS Bryan Tarleton (4-4-0)
24 Lawrenceville AE Wayne Cooper (4-4-0)

First six (bright green) teams are division winners.  The next group of teams (pale green) represent teams that should be assured playoff berths regardless of how they do this weekend.  The next two group's (yellow and red) survival depends on their performance this weekend.  If these game predictions hold true, all 5-3 records (yellow) make it into the playoffs ... no 4-4 (red) team makes it.  I haven't applied the GFL tiebreaker/seeding rules.  Each cluster is listed according to the current computer ranking and does not represent projected GFL seeding ...

Looks like we differ by one team ... I've got Lilburn AN and you have Lawrenceville AE.  We'll know soon enough ... Wink

MrEMAN, there needs to be a correction. Lilburn(mcghee) is currently 3-4 with the lost they suffered this wkend and can only finish 4-4. They are no longer in the playoff picture. Shouts out to homie LIL 12(still looking 4 him)

Sorry folks ... I made a mistake transferring my scribbling on a sheet of paper to the upcoming schedule and screwed up.  That would bring one 4-4 team into the equation ... in my opinion, Mill Creek NE is the strongest of the group, but that might not be how the GFL tiebreaker rules see it.  Corrected prediction is:

1   Loganville AN Todd Wolaver (7-1-0)  (0) [9]
2   Lawrenceville AS Mac McGinnis (7-1-0)  (0) [20]
3   Shiloh AE Kevin Hunter (8-0-0)  (0) [27]
4   Dacula NN Chuck Layson (8-0-0)  (0) [33]
5   Dacula NS Kenny Perlotte (8-0-0)  (0) [22]
7   Buford NE Ken Burge (7-1-0)  (-1) [19]
8   South Gwinnett AE Demetrius Dower (7-1-0)  (0) [30]
11 Grayson AN Andre Young (6-2-0)  (0) [18]
12 Peachtree Ridge NN Steve Dawson (6-2-0)  (+1) [29]
6   Collins Hill NE Paul Randall (5-3-0)  (+1) [5]
9   North Gwinnett NE George Hearn (5-3-0)  (+1) [3]
14 Grayson AE Chris Chandler (5-3-0)  (+1) [14]
15 Shiloh AS John Brooks (5-3-0)  (-1) [26]
17 Peachtree Ridge NE Michael Pate (5-3-0)  (+3) [10]
20 Parkview AS Duwinn Simmons (5-3-0)  (+1) [23]
10 Mill Creek NE Dave Schwefler (4-4-0)  (-1) [4]
13 Mill Creek NS Larry Savoie (4-4-0)  (-1) [25]
16 Lilburn AN Onza McGhee (4-4-0)  (+1) [7]
19 Brookwood AS Kenny Bauchcum (4-4-0)  (0) [21]
21 Buford NS Bryan Tarleton (4-4-0)  (-3) [24]
24 Lawrenceville AE Wayne Cooper (4-4-0)  (+1) [31]

Maybe no 4-4 team makes it. Maybe the Top seed gets a bye week! If only 15 teams are above .500.

If the following scenario from MrEman happens, there will be 15 teams at 5-3 and then there will be a 4 team playoff for the last playoff spot.

The 4 teams at 4-4 with a conference record of 3-2 would be in the playoff for the last spot; the 4-4 teams with conference record of 2-2; 2-3 or 1-3 would be eliminated:

1. Mill Creek NE Schwefler

2. Mill Creek NS Savoie

3. Brookwood AS Bauchcum

4. Buford NS Tarleton

1   Loganville AN Todd Wolaver (7-1-0)  (0) [9]
2   Lawrenceville AS Mac McGinnis (7-1-0)  (0) [20]
3   Shiloh AE Kevin Hunter (8-0-0)  (0) [27]
4   Dacula NN Chuck Layson (8-0-0)  (0) [33]
5   Dacula NS Kenny Perlotte (8-0-0)  (0) [22]
7   Buford NE Ken Burge (7-1-0)  (-1) [19]
8   South Gwinnett AE Demetrius Dower (7-1-0)  (0) [30]
11 Grayson AN Andre Young (6-2-0)  (0) [18]
12 Peachtree Ridge NN Steve Dawson (6-2-0)  (+1) [29]
6   Collins Hill NE Paul Randall (5-3-0)  (+1) [5]
9   North Gwinnett NE George Hearn (5-3-0)  (+1) [3]
14 Grayson AE Chris Chandler (5-3-0)  (+1) [14]
15 Shiloh AS John Brooks (5-3-0)  (-1) [26]
17 Peachtree Ridge NE Michael Pate (5-3-0)  (+3) [10]
20 Parkview AS Duwinn Simmons (5-3-0)  (+1) [23]
10 Mill Creek NE Dave Schwefler (4-4-0)  (-1) [4]
13 Mill Creek NS Larry Savoie (4-4-0)  (-1) [25]
16 Lilburn AN Onza McGhee (4-4-0)  (+1) [7]
19 Brookwood AS Kenny Bauchcum (4-4-0)  (0) [21]
21 Buford NS Bryan Tarleton (4-4-0)  (-3) [24]
24 Lawrenceville AE Wayne Cooper (4-4-0)  (+1) [31]

Everything always works out. I think one of the teams in the red will win to make it 16 teams above .500! I take the playoff start the Saturday after the regular season, so some one would have to play Tuesday and Thursday to face the top seed on Saturday. Tough road!

Hey mamaball,

I like your top 10 list, except for that Grayson Chandler pick.  They haven't won against the top teams on their schedule this year.  In fact, they've been getting their butts all but ripped off and handed to them when they played the "elite" teams.  I don't see how they could "sneak up" on anyone in the first round, or any round subsequent to that...so maybe you meant to say Grayson Young?

Boss I think Mama may be right about chandler, I played for him the last two years and the two teams that "spanked that hinie" has spanked everybodys. They had least two A's out the first half and one more still is out. How far can one go with three A's gone. Chandler has been in playoffs last two-lost to randall 6-0 last year-what happened to you w/randall the next week?

Hey Sunshine,

No apologies necessary, we DID get beat by Randall in the 2nd round last year, which, pisses me off that we won't get a chance to play them this year for some "unfinished business" -- but I do hear what you're saying about Chandler and missing 2 or 3 of their A's...I'm just basing my statement by observing their trends this year...they will play hard, but not effective enough to make an impact, even in the 10th spot.

And even though it WAS last year, it still holds weight in the fact that it is an estimation of a teams' strength and ability from year to year.  Dacula or Loganville wouldn't be considered top tier teams at the beginning of the season unless people could base that designation on what they did the prior season...

...So don't worry little guy, I understood what you meant! Wink

Boss the 10th spot was the hard one. I had Chandler-Pate & Young in there. Ive seen Chandler 3 times and young twice and pate twice. E-Man says Pate had 10th toughest road,Chandler 14th, and Young 18th. Didnt you see Chandler last week.

Hey Mama,

Yep, we saw them last week, and that is why I said I can't put Chandler in that spot...They haven't shown enough strength to have a considerable impact on the type of teams that they will play come 1st round of the playoffs.  Young, they had glimpses of what they COULD do against top teams offensively and defensively...

...Although I haven't seen Pate, i've heard that he's had a consistently well coached squad, that could possibly upset a team or two...

So if I had to pick, i'd say Young or Pate for the 10th spot, and let the sparks fly!!

As a parent it amazes me why you guys refuse to give the coaching staff and the players of Shiloh-Hunter credit for doing a great job with a hat picked team. All I hear is Wolly this and Wolly that. You better go check the credentials of Coach Hunter and his staff. The yellow fever got Wolly. Hell no - the black and silver fever got Wolly. He threw everything he had at Shiloh - double reverses, 8 half back passes, hook and ladder, etc, and still only got inside the red zone once, and that was on a busted lucky pass. Wolly is lucky he didnt lose by 2 tds. Shiloh stayed in his red zone. I guess it was yellow fever that told Wolly's qb to spike the ball from the shot gun, drawing an intentional grounding penalty, killing their last drive. Also, all 3 fumbles they had were on 4th down and a mile to go, while trying to do some playstattion play. Come on guys, I know Wolly is a great coach and has a great team, but let's give credit where credit is due. Hats off to Shiloh. Again, they drafted their team from a blind hat pick. They are beating teams that have had their core group of players together for several years.

Again, this is no disrespect to Wolly or any other coaches if GFL, but coach Hunter has a stellar resume and can coach with the best of them. Give the man some freaking credit. This Shiloh team was 2-6 before he got here! Geeeeez!!! If Coach Hunter doesnt win another game this year he's done one helluva job with those boys! Thanks Coach! Keep chopping that wood!

Dear Undertaker-I think you may have mistaken Mamaballs comment-Loganville created the yellow fever themselves-shot themselves in the foot so to speak. I was there-I know a yellow flag took 6 off the board did it not. You want to talk busted play what about 12 for shiloh picking up a fumble in the backfield and running (to the house)past three defenders that thought the play was blown dead. Ill give credit where credit is due-when its due only-good luck.

Haaaaaaa Goatman you are funny. Blown dead. Haaaaaaaa,,,, coaches should be teaching their players to play til the whistle blows. No one even saw the fumble, or else they wouldve attempted to get on it. It bounced once and 12 scooped it back up in one motion. Why would Loganville players stop if they hadnt heard a whistle? Either way, you are missing my point. My point is this game was a hard fought battle, that couldve gone either way. You guys are making it seem as though Loganville dominated the game. Loganville broke Shiloh's 20 yard line once. Also, didnt Shiloh drop a TD pass on their 1st possession? #28 turned the corner on a hold against Shiloh's DE who was in position to make the play in the back field. Do you think #28 turns the corner without the hold? It was a clear hold, that's why it was called. Didnt Shiloh get a holding penalty that negated a 1st down from the 15 yard line? You have to play through penalties. You see Goat, we can play that game all day long. I agree that Loganville is still a top three team, along with Layson and Hunter. To put Randall (4-3) in front of Shiloh is absolutely ridiculous. Does that mean Randall cant beat Shiloh? No it doesnt. Any team can lose on any given day. Just show Hunter and his boys some respect . Goat, who are you with anyway?
