Since we are getting close to the end of the regular season. Who do you think are the top RBs in each age group. Keep in mind im talking about the RBs that lets a team know the run is coming and you still can't stop him or the other team knows this is the man to stop but he finds a way to kept the other team coaches up all night looking at film saying "How do we stop him?"...Please no players names just team and number will do.... |

Should I say it? NAHHHH, I'm not gonna say it...... at 12's, I do like 23 from Lilburn Mcghee, 24 from Grayson Young, and 31 from Parkview Simmons - if they get going, it's hard to stop them... There is ONE other kid....nahhh, i'm not gonna do it. EL JEFE |

28 from loganville is a threat for sure. Also looks like 12 from shiloh. I like the way 24 for parkview ran the ball he hit the holes hard and was a tough runner. |

My Opinion! I would take #28 from Lawrenceville over all I have seen! I also like #28 Loganville and #12 Shiloh! |

Well, Technically speaking Offense, #28 from loganville isn't a "running back" correct me if i'm wrong, DW? To be honest, I don't know if Loganville even HAS a RB, because of that offense they run, multiple people touch (&run) it from out of the backfield. You are with Mac, right Offense? If so, just from the little bit i've seen of him, #28 is nice. Thanks Captain for looking out, and although I couldn't put #21 at the TOP spot overall for "best back", I certainly put him at the top for speed and "truck ability" when he's rolling.... |

Boss you are right #28 for me is not a running back. BUT with that being said when he touches the ball I feel he is as dangerouse as any 12 year old in the league. But your right he is not the best running back in the league. I am just glad that he is not on a team against me because he can do so much. As far as my running backs they are shifty and great runners but not really any breakaway speed. they are good running backs though. We don't go 6-0 without some good ones and we are not done yet. Good luck to all. |

Boss after reading the post again I would have to say that #28 is definatley a kid that coaches sit up and try to find away to stop him and then for the most part can't. I feel like your son is definately one of those kids also. I know we felt like if we could stop him we would have a chance to win. #12 for shiloh also is one of those kids, trust me I am trying to figure out how to shut him down. Fast and good moves. I also know Layson has that running back that is very good. |

You're right, DW, there is most certainly brainstorming sessions where Coaches try to figure a strategy for #28 on your team, and you know what? There really ISN'T one that is effective. Your backs do perform in your offense as well as ANY backs do in their respective teams' schemes, and even without breakaway speed, have "chainmoving" speed. You don't have a TOP BACK, per se, but you do have a great 'core' if you will that keeps you ahead of the curve on Saturday... |

The best RB I've seen in the last two years has to be #18 from Mill Creek 8th Grade. Power to break tackles and speed to run away from everybody. I remember the first time I saw him play. He was 12 year old at the time. He picked up a bad snap on a punt, juked the first defender and blew by everybody up the sideline. |

I'll take the homer route on this one. Give me #24 from Patterson and #31 from Simmons-let's run some power. |

Yes Boss! And I call anyone who touches and runs the ball Like #28 from Loganville a running back. Just working with our #28 from Lawrenceville is a pleasure! I am amazed by the vision of him running the ball inside and outside. Although there isn't too many people that can catch him (like in our game #28 from Loganville). I know that he breaks tackles and get positive yards almost every time he gets a touch. But I'm Bias. I like all my backs! |

Hoss, I hear what you are saying, but at the same time, category you presented isn't one that can be easily translated into a statistical category; primarily because "impact on team" has to take into account "coaching","team strength", and "game workload"...for example, these kids are playing little league, so normally the more athletic or "skilled" kids go both ways -- what position does he play on DEFENSE? Safety? Middle LB? D-End? The physicality of the player's Defensive position will have to be factored in to what his fatigue level is, and how productive he is on BOTH sides of the ball, and at the end of the game, does he still have some left in the tank to pull out a tough one when his number is called.... If the coach rests their star back by putting him at an easy position(for this age) such as, free safety or D-Back, then the kid's workload is less than, say, the kid whose dual-side workload is somewhere on the line or more "in the mix". And as far as moving the chains, a few of the kids mentioned move the chains, when technically speaking, that doesn't necessarily equate to "wins"....and neither does putting points on the board equal "wins", because EVERYBODY knows that DEFENSE wins games, no matter how high powered an offense you have...if you suck on defense, you WILL lose the game. Not to take anything away from #12 on Shiloh, but at the same time, you had to wait until you played LOGANVILLE to come on and start talking about a TOP RB?!?! You mean to tell me that you didn't have ANY other game to compare his skills in? It's not like Loganville has the best defense in the League bro...keep it real. The kids that were mentioned (most of them anyways), DESERVED to be mentioned...and I know for a FACT that you can line ANY 12 year old up with one of the kids mentioned, and he will leave them BURNED. I understand how big a win it was for you guys yesterday seeing how you BLEW your chance last year on the strength of you allowing a determined loganville to steal the win from a prematurely celebratory Shiloh team. But don't try to undermine the accomplishments of kids who've been CONSISTANT not for a season, but for their little league CAREERS... EL Jefe |

Bawhhhssss...you have got to be kidding me! If you want to throw in all of those arbitrary variables, then count how much gatorade the kid gets during a game, or did get to the game on time. The blog was for who we think are the best RBs this year. And yes, this kid has been getting it done ALL season. Not just this game. Don't poo poo Wolly's D now. They"ve been blasting guys all year. Don't get off of his jock now. You've been a loyal fan all year! And by the way #12 is an LB. And you had to reach to last year to grab a poke. As we ALL know things REALLY change from 1 year to the next...right!? |

Hoss, Did you say "arbitrary"...LOL that's cute. When you say "Poo Poo", I guess that's "Shiloh Speak" for "undermining the efficiency of"...when technically speaking, we're an under .500 team like you say, and we're 1 of only 3 teams that have scored on them(because NOBODY shuts us out, period.), and, might I add, scored the same amount of times on them as you did, which further solidifies my earlier point about DEFENSE winning GAMES -- not saying that their defense SUCKS, but it's not an iron-clad defense juggernaut(as I thought I made clear by saying "not the best defense in the league ).... And when you talk about "jock riding", you must be confusing ME with YOU or somebody else; check my posts, and my history of messages and giving props where due, and compare them to YOUR songs of praise and adoration for #1 RedDevil himself -- one BIG difference is, you do a great job of riding his jock ORALLY, and by that I mean with your MOUTH, that would put the "queer eye for the straight guy" dudes to shame....real talk... And as far as fans go, I admit that i'm a LOYAL FAN -- of the BROOKWOOD BRONCOS and most certainly ANY of our boys, because I know their strengths & their abilities. You say "a poke"!?! I certainly didn't have to reach too far for last year, all I had to do was follow the trail of silence from you this WHOLE season...You & LiLGHOST12 have that in common - don't wanna talk until you think you have something to talk about..that's the difference between me and you, I don't wait until I SQUEAK by in a big game to come on 2b and talk, I get it going from the JUMP...you better ask about me son.... Finally, yes, oh what a difference a season makes...although it's a disappointing one, that still doesn't undermine the strength of our team - and I will STILL put them up against ANYBODY in this league and EXPECT to win (Your team included) - because I know what I know....I tell you what, since you want to get into THAT conversation & don't have anything to LOSE in this next game, try this: put #12 at NOSE on defense, or TACKLE, on EVERY series you have your starting D in, and then on offense, give him the ball 9 or 10 times and tell him "get us some points, son" and watch him break for 30 or 40 in the 4th the SAME WAY he does it in the 1st, then you come talk to me about TOP backs, youngster..... Just something for you to ponder - you wanted to talk, right?.... JEFE!! |

This is a very good topic. I can only judge the backs that I have played against this year at 12s. The tailback from S. Gwinnett (Dower) and #1 from Lawrenceville (Cooper) are very nice. I havent seen #21 from Brookwood (Carter), but I hear he's a beast. However, at the end of the day the best FOOTBALL PLAYER that I have ever seen at 12s in 14 years of coaching is #28 from Loganville (Woolaver). The kid can do everything, and simply will not stop coming at you!! Another Jeff Francoeur in the makings! |

Bawwwssss... Man I'm sorry. I had you confused with being a coach. Anybody that puts their best tailback at Nose has the coaching IQ of "Radio"!I just got got finished playing Madden 10 on Playstation and tried to put Adrian Peterson at Nose and the damn machine cut off and spit the disk out. John Madden immediately sent me an email and said "Don't EVER try that sh$t on my game again!" I will no longer discuss football with you. Your credibility just flew out of the damn window. SPORTSGUY...Please start a poll to see who else would play their best tailback at Nose! |
